Candles are the most wonderful items, serving many purposes - to give light; to create romantic atmospheres; and to serve as a very important tool to focus our concentration and energy during rituals and spells. Colours and scents, while nice when using candles in our daily lives, are essential in our magickal use of candles.
Mama Yasmini does not make taper candles, and they are not in containers - unless you specifically request they come in a glass container. They are free-standing, either round or shaped candles that can be set on a dish, in a small bowl, or on a piece of foil when burning. Mama will often use a double thickness of foil shaped into a bowl and set the candle inside it. This makes it easy to dispose of the candle wax when you have finished burning the candle.
The candles are, however, coloured with the colour most appropriate to the purpose and scented with the appropriate oils and/or herbs, so they are already fixed and there is no need to further anoint them unless you wish to do so to add more power of your own. They "may", in some cases, be in a shape that corresponds with the purpose of the spell - such as a heart for love spells.
You will be supplied with the number and/or size of candle(s) necessary for the work you wish to do. This may be one large candle that you keep burning on a constant basis (usually in containers) or that you burn for a specific period of time each day (not necessarily in a container) or it may be several small tea-lite sized candles that you would burn one a day.
