I can't remember what they are called, but these are Bath Salts that you can use in the shower. I would like to make these for people that don't have a chance to take baths very often, but would like to have the help that the salts give to the body. I haven't heard of any salts that can be used in the shower, Rita. I know that the herb baths I have made for people in the past can be used in the shower by just attaching the bag to the shower nozzle instead of tossing them into bath water or hanging on the faucet.

These are from Llewellyn's 1999 Magical Almanac. This article was written by Ron Rhodes. He gives amounts, but they can be tailored to taste. He does warn not to use too much oil, or the salts will be soggy. Also, food coloring is suggested. He says to mix them in a teaspoon before adding them to the salts (tie-dyed bath salts, anyone?)
Here are the recipes:
1. Try to keep your mind on the purpose of the bath salt as you prepare it.
2. For a base salt, you can use plain epsom salts or a blend of epsom salts and table, sea or mineral salts.
3. Place approximately 2 ups of base salt into a clean, dry quart jar.
4. Add fragrances and coloring.
5. Place lid onto jar, tighten, and shake jar vigorously until well blended.
6. Store bath salts in an airtight, well-labeled blass container to prevent the salts from going stale as well as avoiding future identification problems.
7. To use these bath salts, simply add 1/4 to 1/2 cup to your regular bath water. (Bathe as usual, while visualizing your goals and desires as already fulfilled. Because the magical intentions are released with the vapors of the fragrance, the hotter the water, the shorter the duration of the bath needs to be. Because steam draws out the actual fragrance from the water, there is no need to stay in the water any longer than fifteen minutes.)
8. You may want to clean your bathtub with a baking soda paste after your magical bath.

Here is a basic recipe for bath salts.
Ingredients
2 cups baking soda
2 cups epsom salt
2 cups sea salt
Mix and store in ziplock bags. If humidity is a problem where you live, mix in a little glycerin to help with the clumping.
You can use up to 1/2 cup of the salts per bath, if you wish, but I use a couple of tablespoons.
To make a herbal bath salt, add 2-3 ounces of finely ground herbs, whatever is your choice. Make sure these are powdered or very finely ground. Some suggestions are parsley, sage, rosemary, thyme, lavender, or any other herb you happen to like.

Add a bit of sea salt to the salt base. Bathe in Sea Witch Bath Salts for a gentle purification prior to magical works.
The herb baths I posted are from Scott Cunningham's book - "The Complete Book of Incense, Oils & Brews". BUT, in his books and in many other books, they also have lists of herbs for different magickal purposes. You can pick and choose your favourite ones and mix them together.
To sell them, you can either put them in bags and sell individual "baths", or you could package up some - maybe 1/2 pound or a pound - and believe me, with loose herbs, that's a whole lot - and then attach a cloth bag with a drawstring to the bag with the herbs. This would allow people to have more than one bath with a purchase. And, by selling a cloth bag with your big bags, it would encourage people to come back and buy more bulk herbs - with or without another cloth bag. The same principle applies to bath salts - another really easy thing to make but I would recommend smaller quantities of those. :)
