2970 South American Mahogany (Swietenia)
This is probably the most famous lumber tree in the world. Its wood has been prized for centuries. It also makes a handsome park tree. Usually, the tree used for magickal purposes is Mountain Mahogany (Cercocarpus ledifolius) and this is used as a protection against lightning. 10 seeds $1.90

Maidenhair Fern is used for love and beauty workings. Keep it in the bedroom after immersing in water, and it is said it will grant you grace, beauty and lvoe.

This is used as substitute for Mandrake Root and is often called the American Mandrake. Although it is not related to the "true" Mandrake, the uses are virtually identical - money, protection, love, fertility and health.
LF101 Amur Maple (Acer ginnala)
This is a good hedge plant for zones 2-8. It grows in most soils and tolerates full sun and partial shade. It is a deciduous plant with dazzling fall colors. You should space plants about 2' apart when using as a hedge. Magically, maples are used in love, money and longevity works. HR380 Calendula/Marigold (Calendula officinalis)
Calendula is another wonderful all-purpose magickal herb that is also very useful in herbal medicine, especially when used in soaps, lotions and creams. It is used in rituals for protection and legal matters as well as being useful in those blends used for enhancing psychic powers and for prophetic dreaming. The familiar spearmint and peppermint are derived from these herbs. A much preferred aromatic. A tea is prepared by pouring boiling water over fresh or dried leaves and a pinch of bicarbonate of soda. Let steep for 15 minutes. It will relieve headaches, menstrual cramps, indigestion and rheumatic pains. The plants are a hardy perennial. 25 seeds $1.95

9609 Morning Glory Tree (Ipomoea arborescens)
A thick stemmed and twining shrub to 10' with the most gorgeous six inch wide white flowers. The base becoming caudexed with age. Very unusual. 5 seeds $3.50
SO317 - Hawaiian Woodrose (Ipomoea)
A very interesting vine with deep cut 5-7 lobed foliage that can easily be grown inside. The yellow flowers are followed by woody pod fruits that when opened, resemble a wooden rose. 4 seeds $2.50
All Morning Glories (Ipomoea spp.) can be used in spells, rituals and blends for happliness and peace. Placing the seeds beneath your pillow is said to stop nightmares.
There are 3 Ipomoea species used in magick. I. tuberosa, Wood Rose also known as Ceylon Morning Glory, Frozen Roses and Spanish Arbor Vine, is carried to attract good luck. I. purga or I. jalapa are the famous High John the Conqueror used so much in Voodoo, Hoodoo and Santeria as well as some other African-based paths. Mama has been unable to find either I. purga or I. jalapa and if anyone out there has any idea where she could find either seeds or roots or plants, please contact Mama Yasmini with details. High John the Conqueror is used for a number of different purposes, including money - just wrap a piece of root in a green sachet anointing both with mint oil and carry it. It also breaks hexes and curses as well as protecting you from them. It is used to bring happiness, relieve depression, bring love, and can be added to virtually any recipe to encourge the success of that ritual.
Moss

You can use any moss to stuff poppets. These would be "general" use poppets and you can turn them from "general" to "specific" purpose poppets with the addition of other herbs.
H595 Mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris)
This plant reaches 3' or more and is often used to flavor drinks. An infusion made from dried roots using 1 ounce of herb to 1 pint of water makes a stimulating tonic for tired blood. The dose should be 1/2 teaspoon while still warm. This infusion is also said to be helpful for palsy, fits and epileptic affections. Magicakally, Mugwort is used in a multiude of ways. It is used for strength, to increase psychic powers, for protection, prophetic dreaming, healing, and for astral projection. 20 seeds $1.95

2225 Russian Mulberry Tree (Morus alba)
This tree is grown for its abundance of fruit as well as its ornamental value. Its most important use however, is probably its leaves as a source of food for silkworms. 50 seeds $1.95
2226 Black Mulberry (Morus nigra)
A heavy fruiter like the Russian Mulberry but is preferred because it grows only a third as tall and is easier to harvest. Great pies and wine can be made from the fruit. 50 seeds $1.95
Mulberry grown in the garden will protect it from lightning. It is also used in works to strengthen one's will. The wood is often used to make magickal wands.
FS535 Mountain Mullein (Verbascum thapsus)
this is a unique form of Mullein growing from 24-48" tall with spires of creamy white flowers with plum-pink eyes. it is used in magick for courage, protection, health, love divination, and in exorcism blends. It is very easy to grow. 25 seeds $1.95

H470 Black Mustard (Brassica nigra)
Although this plant started off as a native of Europe, it is now naturalized throughout most of the United States and even parts of Canada. In the spring, you could possibly see waste areas covered in yellow-blossomed plants. Mustard seed, one of the smallest of seeds, cast into the garden grows into a tree (actually a large plant about 6' tall) which shelters the birds seeking rest. Caution should be taken with this plant because the seeds, which contains myrosin and sinigrin, when mixed with water can cause skin blisters or burns. The oil is a powerful irritant and should only be used in diluted form, only externally, and even then very sparingly. 100+ seeds $1.75
All mustards are magickal in that any of the seeds can be used in fertility and protection workings and in those rituals to clear and increase mental powers.
